FESTIVA: The Hottest Women of Valley Rock 2009

The Monitor

Rock 'n' roll is obsessed with sexy women.

Flip on the radio right now and chances are you'll hear a tune about a good girl, a bad girl, a wife, a lover, a whore, a goddess or even a hot mom. If rock 'n' roll can't get enough of chicks, why are there still so few holding the guitars in the real world? Why does the music industry continue to be a tough terrain for the fairer sex to tread?

For the second annual lineup of our Hottest Women of Valley Rock series, Festiva proudly presents 10 young, talented ladies who are turning heads, yes --- but what really gets us going is how they're turning the tide.

They come from all sides of the Valley music scene --- rock, hip hop, tejano, Christian, etc. These babes mean business beneath the spotlight and behind the scenes. They're musicians, advocates, promoters and journalists, and they're not satisfied with songs about their sex appeal.

Stare at them as long as you like. Just don't be surprised if they've stormed the stage by the time you snap out of it.
