History museum to celebrate the pioneer days
Cowboys will wrangle into the Edinburg for music, outdoor cooking, authentic crafts and children's activities at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, at the Museum of South Texas History.
So, at this point you may be wondering a few things about cowboys. More than usual.
For example, what did they eat? The answer is pan de campo, and it will be baked fresh for this event, along with other chuck wagon delicacies.
What skills did cowboys need? Children will learn this one first hand, when they have a chance to milk a cow, shoe a horse and churn butter.
The aim of this event is to give attendees a full, old west experience.
