BAND PROFILE: The Higher

The Monitor

The Higher

Home Base: Las Vegas

Full Length Albums: 2

Genre: Pop / Rock / R & B

Why They're Cool: These guys take a blend of power pop, rock and R & B and jam it all together. You can head band, you can pogo or you can dance to the subtle grooves. Your choice. The Higher lays it all out there. They've reinvented their sound since dropping a 2005 debut album. By their own admission, The Higher almost broke up last year. But instead, they buckled down and put out an album more reflective of their musical tastes. Thus the blend of poppy emo and R & B was born. They're also cool because they're on punk rock label Epitaph, owned by a member of punk legends Bad Religion.

For Fans Of: Forever the Sickest Kids, Cobra Starship and Panic at the Disco.
