FESTIVA CD REVIEW: Gabriel - 'I Need You'
Comments 0 | Recommend 0To say I Need You is an uplifting album would be a huge understatement. Each song on solo artist Gabriel's first full-length CD is full of thanks, love and celebration for God, there's almost no chance to just chill during a listen from beginning to end. Gabriel's faith and gratitude on this Christian album can be felt in each track. There's no getting lost in the lyrics; every song is simple and has no hidden meaning. The music is upbeat and inspiring (and is very reminescent of '90s radio rock), and while the songs start off sounding very different, they all end up sounding the same somehow, with the exception of "Arms Around Me".
Artist: Gabriel
Album: I Need You
Genre: Contemporary Christian
Released: 2008
Best track: "Arms Around Me" - Gabriel sings with more passion on this track, even adding a little gutteral growl at some points.
Worst track: "So Amazing" - A bit too repetitive and similiar to other songs on I Need You.
