STILLBORNE - "REMEDY ULTRA"

Stillborne frontman Matthew Rios last touched drugs and alcohol three years ago.
The 24-year-old lead singer battled addiction, going to rehab twice. Rios, who writes lyrics for the local hard rock outfit, has now chronicled his struggle and journey in a song.
"The song is about addiction," he says. "It's about digging a ditch deeper with your own shovel, but you can't get out of it."
Rios wrote all the songs for the band's two previously released EPs. The new track, dubbed "Remedy Ultra," will appear on Stillborne's debut album due this March.
This song touches deep, personal themes.
"This song is the only song I've written about my addiction," he says. "The other ones are more about the dichotomy between love and hate, and how thin that line really is when you're with someone and how quickly it can snap."
