Comments 0 | Recommend 0

Local rock band want to get into your mind

Brainwave is:
Rudy Cisneros- Lead Vocals/Guitar
Chris Diaz- Guitar/Vocals
Joel Diaz-Bass/Vocals
Rick Elizondo-Guitar/Vocals
Armando Silva-Drums/Vocals

You can find them rockin' and rollin' their way through the local circuit at several watering holes: Simon Sez, Smoking Aces and 25th Lane. Starting out is challenging at first but the guys in Brainwave are determined to be heard. This year they want to push their music a little harder and break into an all original music set list. Find out a little more about Brainwave and the music they love.

FESTIVA: The first song you heard that truly caught your ear and what it did to you?

BRAINWAVE: As a band, we all agree that Detroit Rock City by Kiss was the starting point of us wanting to be in rock-n-roll band.

FESTIVA: What is the hardest thing about writing? And what do you to combat writers block?

BRAINWAVE: Being able to agree on the finished tune. Tequila, lime and salt always combats writers block.

FESTIVA: What is the best concert you went to and why it rocked?

BRAINWAVE: Rush. Visual, audio and performance.

FESTIVA: If you could collaborate with any musician who would it be and why?

BRAINWAVE: Rudy, Chris, Rick, Joel and Mando. We have developed an unsurpassed chemistry and collaboration as a band.

In closing, "we are greater then the sum of our parts."

TOP 5 THINKING MAN'S ROCKERS

BRAINWAVE: Geddy Lee (Rush)*, Eric Johnson, John Bonham, Paul Stanley (Kiss)* and Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp character in Pirates)
