A Beautiful Lotus

Phil Acevedo, 25, singer of A Beautiful Lotus

Festiva: What inspires your music?

Phil: At first there weren't many people making the music I wanted to listen to. So I made my own music, then others started taking it seriously, so I had to start taking it seriously, too.

Festiva: How did you celebrate your last birthday?

Phil: I didn't do anything. I think I went out to eat. This year I hope to have a party or a show or something.

Festiva:What is your dream gig?

Phil: Playing in front of thousands of people and them having fun. Maybe go overseas.

Festiva: How do you think you can experience mainstream success?

Phil: The future is here, I mean, who knows? There's a lot more electronic sound in music today. One day it can happen.

Festiva: What is the strangest food you've ever eaten?

Phil: I had machito. I think it's something wrapped in goat intestines or something. I've had shark, too.
