Got a short film idea? WILD’s Original Film Contest deadline Nov. 12

WILD (Writers in Literary Discussion) is holding a contest for the best 20-minutes or fewer short film. The contest is open to anyone, and all submissions are due Monday, Nov. 12. Submissions should be sent to: Tom Fuschetto, English Department, South Texas College, P.O. Box 9701, McAllen, TX. Or entrants can drop off their VHS or DVD personally to South Texas College, Building J, Floor 3, Room J-3.1112.

Movies will be selected for viewing by a committee. Films will be shown at the award ceremony on Tuesday, Nov. 27 at STC’s auditorium. Winners will be chosen by 50 percent audience vote and 50 percent from a panel of local film judges. Awards for first, second and third place will be awarded by Barnes & Noble.
