McALLEN – Hannah Curlee, a finalist in Season 11 of the “The Biggest Loser,” will make a special appearance Friday in McAllen.

Curlee will share her experiences with losing weight in a free, public event sponsored by Health Corporation of America, Rio Grande Regional Hospital’s parent company.

The event be at  2:30 p.m. in the hospital’s classrooms located in the east wing of the ground floor at 101 East Ridge Road in McAllen.

Curlee will speak about her weight loss and what she is doing to keep the pounds off, according to Adriana Morales, the hospital’s Marketing and Public Relations Manager.

The hospital will launch  its Health To You program, or h2u, a tool for staying fit.

“It’s a great tool to get information about staying fit, staying healthy (and) national and local resources (that are) available,” Morales said. Curlee will discuss how she is using that program to maintain her weight loss.

H2u requires an annual membership fee of $20 for access to the information, health monitoring and free screening events.

Curlee also will make a personal appearance on Saturday in Brownsville as part of the city’s Biggest Loser Challenge. The event will be from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Wells Fargo Parking Lot, 835 E. Levee St.
