For the past 14 years, Writers in Literary Discussion (WILD) has been running a haunted house at South Texas College. This year is no different and on Oct. 29 and 30 from 7 to 10 p.m. WILD will have a haunted house at the South Texas College Pecan Campus Student Lounge in Building H located at 3201 West Pecan Blvd. in McAllen.

This year’s haunted house will have an arsenal of spooky, mind-boggling effects, including trippy paints and scary lighting. Also visitors will receive 3-D glasses that will heighten the senses to make the experience even more freighting.

Admission is $4 per person. Everyone from the community is invited to attend. However a word of caution for parents, “it’s ok for children to scare, adults but it’s not ok for adults to scare kids,” says Tom Fuschetto, STC English instructor and WILD advisor. “The haunted house is not recommended for children eight and under.”
