San Juan's David Barrera will appear on the summer finale of TNT's legal drama Raising The Bar, which stars Mark-Paul Gosselaar (Saved By The Bell) and Jane Kaczmarek (Malcolm in the Middle).

The episode airs tonight at 9 p.m. on TNT, cable channel 47.

Barrera, a veteran television actor who has appeared in HBO's Generation Kill and the network hit Heroes, will play a carriage driver facing charges of assaulting a police officer and injuring a horse.

In a brief chat with Festiva on Monday afternoon, Barrera said filming the episode gave him the chance to reminisce with Steven Botcho, the show's creator, about their days on NYPD Blue. He also had kind words for actress Gloria Reuben, the star he worked most closely with on the set of Raising The Bar.

Next up for Barrera is an appearance on CBS' Three Rivers this October. He also plans to accompany his wife to Toronto while she shoots Camp Rock 2 with Demi Lovato and the Jonas Bros.

Barrera will be back in the Valley on Sept. 11 as a special guest of the CineSol Film Festival. His film Cruzando, shot in San Juan, will make its debut that night in Harlingen.

Buzz for Cruzando has been building all year, and the film has been screened at several prestigious festivals. View the movie's Web site at www.cruzandothemovie.com.
