Insurers go to conference on Island

Comments 0 | Recommend 0

Title insurance industry professionals from the South Texas region had an opportunity to attend the regional conference held at South Padre Island in April. The Texas Land Title Association's objective is to hold regional conferences throughout the State of Texas to provide educational programs, inform title insurance professionals of recently enacted legislation and to offer timely tips for improving business operations. "Edwards Abstract and Title Company continues to support the efforts of TLTA and the education and training the organization provides to the title industry. This is such a unique field of work that in the Rio Grande Valley we depend on this training offered annually by TLTA.," stated Byron Jay Lewis, president. The annual conference also allows the Edwards Abstract and Title Co. and their team of industry professionals the opportunity to earn continuing education credit required to renew to their licenses as required by the Texas Department of Insurance. Edwards was represented by twenty-five managers, escrow officers, examiners, attorneys and members of the support teams. Edwards Abstract and Title Co. is independently owned and operated and has four branch offices in Edinburg, McAllen, Mission and Weslaco. During 2008, the company has reached a milestone and is celebrating 128 years of service in the Rio Grande Valley. Visit the Edwards website at www.edwards-titleco.com to learn more about the company and the Texas Land Title Association.
