Turkey trot to make Thanksgiving better for area families
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Join the fun and helps others in need have a great Thanksgiving at the same time at the South Texas College Kinesiology Department’s 4th Annual Turkey Trot. The two-mile walk/run takes place Saturday, Nov. 21 at STC’s Pecan Campus located at 3201 West Pecan Blvd. in McAllen. The entry fee is six non-perishable canned goods, which will be donated to the Rio Grande Valley Food Bank to assist the group in stocking shelves for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday.
The first 250 registrants will receive a free tee-shirt. Prizes will be given to the top three male and female participants. The top 100 runners will receive goodie bags.
Minors may participate, but must be present with a parent. All participants must sign a waiver form when registering.
Registration begins at 6 a.m. in front of STC’s Pecan Campus Cooper Center, located directly across from the college’s Ann Richards Administration Building on Pecan Blvd. The race begins at 7:30 a.m.
