Wedding: Scheurer-Bready

Tara Gage Scheurer and Colin Douglas Bready were united in holy matrimony Saturday, September 27, 2008, at First Presbyterian Church in Wichita Falls. The Reverend Steve Sellers of Orlando, Florida, performed the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Rosana and Paul Hughes of Wichita Falls, and Lety and Stephen Scheurer of Austin. She is the granddaughter of Kathy Banner and the late Jack Gage Banner and Mr. and Mrs. Robert S. Scheurer, all of Wichita Falls.

The groom is the son of Elaine and Douglas Bready of McAllen, Texas. He is the grandson of Eula Roney of Plano, Texas; Mr. and Mrs. Glen Roney of McAllen, Texas; and Eva Bready and the late Gerald Bready of Orange, Texas.

Kristen Hannam of Edmond, Oklahoma, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Allyson Gesell of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Kristin Madison of East Asia, and Kathryn McCoy Weinstein of Seattle, Washington.

Brett Westervelt of Austin, Texas was best man. Groomsmen were Jason Bready of Seattle, Washington, brother of the groom; Mark Scheurer of Tulsa, Oklahoma, brother of the bride; and Cabe Matthews of Seattle, Washington.

Michael Hughes of Albuquerque, New Mexico, brother of the bride, served as an usher. Cousins of the groom also served as ushers - Walker Holahan of Boston, Massachusetts, Dillon Thomison of Plano, Texas, and Glendon Voss of McAllen, Texas. Friends of the groom serving as ushers were Matt Byrnes of Austin, Texas, Dylan Loureiro of Santee, California, Brian Martin of Dallas, Texas, Matt Leung of Colleyville, Texas, Sam Hardeman of Houston, Texas, and Garret Griffin of Dallas, Texas.

The couple's parents were hosts for a reception at The Woman's Forum. The groom's parents entertained the out of town guests at a party Friday night.

The bride is a magna cum laude graduate of The University of Oklahoma and the groom is a graduate of The University of Texas. They met two years ago while serving as missionaries in East Asia and both are on staff with Campus Crusade for Christ. They honeymooned in Italy and will live next year in Orlando, Florida, before returning overseas as missionaries.
