Sharyland ISD Donna Wernecke Elementary student council was awarded the NAESP Honor Student Council Excellence Award for 2009-2010. The goal of this program is to recognize student councils for outstanding participation in the following areas: community service, student leadership, citizenship and school spirit. The Donna Wernecke student council was one of twenty-three student councils in the state of Texas to receive this award. Great job student council representatives and officers!
