Girl Scouts send cookies to fighters overseas

You Did It

On Saturday March 13th, GirlScout Troop #263 from Alamo, TX got together at the Alamo Post Office to send off several boxes of cookies to soldiers overseas.  The Girl Scout troop has been selling cookies for the past two weeks, and had placed a box at their booth to request donations for the soldiers.  The troop promised that if they met their goal they would match the donated quantities in order to have enough to send to the troops.  The troop was very proud that they met their cookie goal. Troop leader Flor Perez ( far left) thanked the girls and the local people from Alamo that donated boxes of cookies. Special thank to the Alamo Walmart for allowing the troop to sell at their front door.  Girl scouts were:(left to right) Ashley Cavazos, Amy Perez, Samantha Perez, Alondra Torres, Myra Gallegos, Samantha Abrego, Desiree Martinez, Wendy Perez, Kassandra Torres & (not pictured - Alyssa Jalomo & Brianna Almendares)
