MISSION — Mission police seized about 900 pounds of marijuana following a brief chase Thursday evening.

A police officer attempted to pull over a white van about 7:30 p.m. near the intersection of Trinity and Bryan roads when its driver disregarded a stop sign, Mission police spokesman Jody Tittle said.

The driver noticed the officer and sped away but then pulled over and abandoned the van, Tittle said.

Police found several marijuana bundles weighing a total of about 900 pounds inside the vehicle. No arrests were made.
