The Monitor

MISSION — Customs officers seized more than $383,000 worth of cocaine during an inspection at the Anzalduas International Bridge last week.

On Friday, U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers came in contact with a 2008 Ford Focus sedan driven by a 36-year-old Mexican woman from Reynosa. Officers referred the car to secondary inspection, where five cocaine packages that weighed 11.9 pounds were found hidden in the car.

Officers turned over the woman to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents for further investigation. CBP seized the drugs and the vehicle.
