The Senior Ambassadors, a male chorus that has been singing in the Valley since 1983, will begin practicing on Nov. 11. Practice is each Friday at 1 p.m. at Bentsen Grove RV Park in Mission. All male singers who have any experience singing parts (TTBB) are invited to join. There are 10 performances scheduled for January, February and March. There are presently more than 50 members, but want to hit 60 to 65. Proceeds from performances go to music scholarships at UTPA. The Senior Texan Slowpitch Softball League will begin its fall season for individual players in November. Teams will be formed through a player draft. This popular league is seeking individual Winter Texans and permanent residents of the Valley age 55 and over for all levels of ability. This includes both former and new players.
