Engagement: Salazar-Reyna

Ms. Estela Salazar of McAllen and Mr. Frank Salazar of Pharr announce the upcoming marriage of their daughter, Laurie Salazar, to Steven Reyna, son of Felipe and Feliz Reyna of San Antonio. 

The bride-elect graduated from Pharr-San Juan-Alamo High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications, with a specialization in broadcast journalism from the University of Texas- Pan American. She is a former news anchor for KRGV, KGBT, and FOX News. She is currently owner of Elle Communications in San Antonio, and is a member of Junior League of San Antonio.

The groom-elect graduated from Churchill High School and is a prospective 2010 graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice. He has been employed by the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office for the past 13 years and is currently a sergeant assigned to the internal affairs division.

The couple will wed on November 14, 2009 at the early 18th century Mission San Jose in San Antonio.
