Firefighters battle grass fire near Raymondville

RAYMONDVILLE -- Firefighting units from Raymondville, San Perlita, Lyford, Lasara, Edinburg, McAllen and Pharr were summoned Sunday afternoon to help put out what was called a large grass fire in ranch country north of Raymondville off Highway 77.
By around 8:10 p.m., the fire had been put out.
It was not certain how the fire started, how large it was and the extent of the damage.
