Armed man barricades himself inside West Brownsville home
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Brownsville police are reporting an armed man has barricaded himself inside a West Brownsville home.
Police and members of the police department's SWAT team are at the home located on East Drive.
Police received a call shortly before 3 p.m. regarding the incident. It's believed at least one or two family members are also inside the home.
Police Commander Robert Avitia reports the man has access to weapons. It's not immediately known the number of weapons or the type that the man has in his possession.
Authorities have blocked off the area around East Drive. They are trying to convince the man to surrender.
