Monitor unveils new day care database tool for parents
Parents’ worlds revolve around their children. It makes sense that they would want to be sure their young ones are taken care of well.
To assist in this regard, The Monitor has created a new section at www.themonitor.com to help parents find the best day care providers.
At www.themonitor.com/daycare, it’s easy to find a local provider that can fit a variety of needs.
Users can search by city or ZIP code, can choose an age group, or simply type in the name of a day care company.
The database provides a variety of information, including phone numbers, addresses and certification status.
Parents unsure of their current day care centers can look them up in the list and check their legal status, as well.
Each center is also plotted on a map to make them easier to find once parents have decided where they want to go.
This information is provided free of charge to visitors of themonitor.com. The data is acquired from the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services and will be updated each month.
