Engagement: Ordinaria-Hanners
Ligaya Joy Ordinaria, daughter of Mrs. Veronica Ordinaria and the late Rev. Antonio Ordinaria is to be married to Nathan Allen Hanners, son of Duanna and Timothy Hanners.
Miss Ordinaria was born in the Philippines and moved to the Valley when she was 10. She attended high school at The Teacher Academy in Edinburg, TX and The Science Academy in Mercedes, TX and is currently working as a claims adjuster for Geico in Dallas, TX while pursuing her degree in Business Administration.
Mr. Hanners was born in Las Vegas, NV and moved to Plano, TX when he was 14. He graduated from Plano High School in 2003 and obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 2008 from the University of Texas at Dallas. He is currently working as a manager for Racetrac in the Dallas area.
Miss Ordinaria met Mr. Hanners during a midnight run for rocky road ice cream while cramming for her finals. Mr. Hanners happened to be working at this particular gas station. From then on, Ms. Ordinaria’s trips to the gas station became more frequent and one night, he asked her out on a date. Mr. Hanners proposed to Ms. Ordinaria during a trip to his grandparent’s ranch out in Eastland, TX. During a candle lit dinner in the middle of a field, he got down on his knees and asked her to marry him.
The couple will exchange vows during a religious ceremony at Christ Church Plano in Plano, TX on July 31.
