MISSION — A teen is being held in the Hidalgo County Jail on suspicion of causing a fatal rollover crash on Inspiration Road near Mile 9 1/2 just north of Mission.

Baldemar Muñoz, 18, of Roma, lost control of a red Chevrolet truck about 3 a.m. and crashed into a fence, causing the truck to roll over on its left side, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety. A passenger, Mario Castilleja, was killed on impact.

Muñoz’s arraignment is scheduled for Sunday. He is expected to be charged with intoxication manslaughter, a second-degree felony, punishable by up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000 upon conviction.
