Emergency personell rushed the 21-year-old to McAllen Medical Center at about 8 p.m. to stabilize his condition before moving him to the Fort Sam Houston hospital.

Mission Fire Chief Rick Saldana said it appeared the man was trying to light a barbecue grill when his body caught fire.
