Mexican soldiers seize weapons cache in Camargo
CAMARGO -- The Mexican army seized a weapons cache hidden in a brushy area of this city Sunday morning.
A military convoy patrolling this city found a stash of guns and ammunition concealed beneath sheets of black plastic in a pile of brush, according to a statement from the Mexican Defense Ministry. Camargo is located across the U.S.-Mexico border from Rio Grande City.
Soldiers seized:
>> Ten rifles
>> Six shotguns
>> 2 handguns
>> 1,674 ammunition rounds
>> 66 ammunition clips
The weapons were transferred to the appropriate authorities, the statement said.
