Wedding: Folk-Bready

Audrey Elizabeth Folk and Jason Edward Bready were united in holy matrimony at 2 p.m. June 21, 2008 at Alamo Heights United Methodist Church in San Antonio. The double-ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Jarrell Sharp of First United Methodist Church of Fredericksburg.

The bride is the daughter of Jeff and Monica Folk of McAllen and the granddaughter of James and Cheryl Shelton of Alamo and Robert and Corinne Folk of Houston. She is also the granddaughter of the late Mrs. Donna Folk of Houston and the great-granddaughter of Everett and Betty Cole of Spicewood, Texas.

The groom is the son of Doug and Elaine Bready of McAllen. He is the grandson of Mrs. Eula Roney of Plano, Glen and Rita K. Roney of McAllen, and Mrs. Eva Bready of San Antonio. He is also the grandson of the late Gerald Bready of Orange.

The bride wore an ivory gown of romantic lace over stain by designer Maggie Sottero. The A-line corset-back strapless gown featured gentle side pleating, pearl and crystal embellishments and a chapel length train. She carried a bouquet of long stemmed golden yellow calla lilies, confetti roses of yellow tinged in red, red berries and natural greenery.

The bride was given in marriage by her father, Jeff Folk.

Rebecca Redman of Nashua, New Hampshire, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Lisa Krug of Seattle, Washington, Sara Povlish or Schertz and Holly Smith of McAllen.

Eric Norman of McAllen served the groom as best man. Groomsmen were Colin Bready, brother of the groom, Sean Folk, brother of the bride, both of McAllen, and Amit Shah of Houston. Ushers were Jon Barrera, Michael McCreery, Luke Mills and Brady Renner, all of McAllen.

The wedding reception was at Texas BBQ and dance held at the Buckhorn Saloon in San Antonio.

Following the wedding festivities, the couple left for a honeymoon cruise to the Mexican Riviera aboard Royal Caribbean's Vision of the Seas.

The couple resides in Seattle, Washington.

The bride is a graduate of Interlochen Arts Academy in Interlochen, Michigan. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in dance from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, Washington.

The groom is a graduate of McAllen Memorial High School. He attends Cornish College of the Arts, majoring in motion design.
