Three favorite movies: Forbidden Kingdom, The Dark Knight, 300
Hours a day spent training: Six hours on hard days, where he does gymnastics, weight training and running. Two hours on days where he needs to recover.
Most difficult stunt move: Standing gainer off of objects. For this move Gabriel moves forward and pulls a backwards flip.
Martial arts training: Third degree black belt.
Academic training: Graduated Edinburg North High School in 2002, and the University of Texas-Pan American in 2005
Future aspirations: Moving to California to pursue stunt double rolls in bigger films.
About his current project: Templar: Honor Among Thieves is a sci-fi film helmed by award-winning writer, director and producer Rene Hinojosa. The director describes his work as paying tribute to the "spaghetti western" while set against an inter-galactic backdrop. The movie is set to begin filming this year at a studio in Austin. Edinburg native Peña will do stunts for the main character in the film.
