SAN JUAN — Anyone with outstanding traffic tickets in San Juan is encouraged to pay up - and avoid additional penalties.

San Juan Municipal Court plans to launch an amnesty program Saturday for all outstanding traffic tickets. The program will run through July 31.

Traffic violations that remain delinquent beyond the stated deadline on the ticket normally can result in a failure-to-appear charge. During the amnesty period, anyone who pays his traffic fines will not be handed the additional failure-to-appear fine, said San Juan Municipal Judges Ricardo Perez and Eloy Hernandez.

Anyone with outstanding traffic tickets in San Juan can pay them at San Juan Municipal Court, 2301 N. Raul Longoria Road. Questions about any pending citations can be directed to the court at (956) 783-3505.
