Cinderella Pet Rescue, Inc., (956) 391-4399, http://www.cinderella-pet-rescue.org, equipuppy@sbcglobal.net
Goldie: This pretty girl was severely abused and neglected before she came to us. She is really friendly with people and likes puppies. She may not be good with some dogs, but she is super loving with people. She is easy to bathe and loves to go for long walks. She rides well in the car and wants to be with people all the time. She has been through hell already and deserves a bit of heaven.

Janie: She is as sweet as her name. She is a big girl (about 75-80 lbs.) and is 9 years old. She is healthy and in good shape. She is housetrained and well mannered. Janie loves to go for walks and to keep you company. She is very polite and listens very well. She is so gentle that she even~opens her mouth like a baby bird when you give her a treat. Janie will play with the other dogs outside but doesn’t like them to get too close to her indoors. She had been attacked and feels threatened when she is cornered by dogs. Janie will bark at strangers when she is "guarding" her yard and looks quite ferocious. However,~she is~actually very sweet and afraid of getting hurt.~She needs someone who will give her love and~handle her~with a gentle hand. She wants to have someone special she can trust. She hasn’t shown any aggression~toward humans and tries very hard to please.

Peggy Sue: This foxy little lady is really eager to be someone’s special girl. She is energetic and wiggles all over when you talk to her. She is so excited to get attention. She loves to run and~play with the other dogs and is good to bathe. She walks well on a leash and enjoys spending time with people. This little "Zora" is very flashy with white on her feet and the tip of her tail. She looks all dressed up and ready for the ball. She is so athletic you could probably teach her to dance with you instead of~Prince Charming. Some of the volunteers want to call her "Zora" because she looks so much like a little fox. She is less than a year old and weighs about~30 pounds. She loves to ride in the car and go for long walks. Peggy Sue really is a flashy little fox!

Popeye: This fellow is a real prince. He is a 4-year-old~Dalmatian/Pointer mix who is a total charmer. He is a great house dog who gets along well with other dogs and is fine with house cats. He loves to be with people he trusts and will dance across the room on his hind feet to get a treat. He walks well on a leash and is good to bathe. He rides well in the car and is a real gentleman. Popeye is a truly special fellow who deserves an extra special home where he can be appreciated for the prince that he is.

Randy: This is a special fellow. After his owner went on a trip and died, a neighbor discovered Randy had been without food or water for some time. The good hearted neighbor brought Randy to our shelter during a sever thunderstorm. Randy was so traumatized and frightened that he wouldn’t let anyone~touch~him for a long time. However, after a few months he started to bond with our director and he became a happy, loving dog. He is now a fun loving fellow who gets along well with other dogs. He is easy to bathe and walks well on a leash. He needs a loving family that won’t intimidate him. He is extremely athletic and can jump really high. He could easily be~an agility dog because he moves so well. He is between~2 and 3 years old and weighs about 45 pounds. He is a special prince who is hoping to find his forever family and make his hairy tail fairy tale come true. He deserves a happy ending.

Romeo: This little firecracker is full of energy and ready to keep up with whatever you want to do. He is a young (about a year old)~fellow~who~weighs about 20 pounds. He really likes the girl dogs and loves to run and play. He is easy to bathe and walks well on a leash. This little jester would make a great addition to~your active royal court.

Leo is a 6-year-old male Chow mix that was rescued from the side of F.M. 511 in Brownsville. He had little hair except some around the head. He was so weak he couldn’t stand. ( Adoption fee reduced to $35 in hopes of finding these old-timers a new home sooner)
Nugget: Neutered male, 30 lbs., 9 months. Nugget appears to be a Spaniel/Retriever mix. He has a beautiful blonde coat and is very loving. His whole body wiggles when he greets you — perhaps he’s just compensating for his lack of a tail!~Nugget gets along with other dogs and is medium size, which makes him a convenient addition for any family. He could easily accompany you~to the beach or the park, but not take up too much space on the couch at night (if he were permitted!). Nugget has no known health issues, is micro-chipped, neutered, h/w negative and ready to begin a new life.

Khei: Spayed female, 40 lbs., 2 years, Healer/Chow mix, which makes loyal and intelligent dogs. Khei is a victim of the recession, possibly house broken, and happy to extend her paw when asked to "shake." She is a good alarm barker and is sure to keep the homeowner alerted to the presence of any danger.~After being at the shelter for awhile she has lost some of her social graces so her new owner should be willing to work with her to improve her manners. She enjoys walks and is much better behaved when regularly exercised. Khei has no known health issues, is micro-chipped, spayed, h/w negative and ready to begin a new life.

Harley: Neutered male, 37 lbs., 1 year, Collie-type mix with a medium-length sable coat.~Harley was abandoned when his owners moved.~It is hard to understand~why he was left behind because he seems to be the perfect dog: calm, affectionate, good on a leash and with other dogs. He enjoys playing and walks outside.~He should be a perfect fit for any family that can provide a permanent, loving home. Harley has no known health issues, is micro-chipped,~neutered, h/w negative and ready to begin a new life.

Hank: Neutered male, 40 lbs., 2 years, Bearded Collie mix with movie star looks.~Hank had not received a lot of attention in his first home so he is a bit rough around the edges but a very happy dog. He needs an experienced owner that is willing to spend time training and improving his manners; in general he is very social, a fast learner, and enjoys giving and receiving lots of attention.~The perfect owner will find time to exercise Hank regularly, provide him with basic obedience training,~and keep this smart dog occupied with activities and play. Hank has no known health issues, is micro-chipped,~neutered, h/w negative and ready to begin a new life.
