You still have a chance to win free tickets to see T.I. on Saturday!
The question on everyone's lips is: who's opening for T.I.? What seemed like half of the Rio Grande Valley's artists shouted from the rooftops (well, MySpace) that they're opening for rapper T.I. Saturday night at the McAllen Convention Center. Turns out, a lot of them were a bit too quick promote their performance.
So who will be there?
At 8 p.m. there will be a fashion show featuring Joyce's International Boutique, then a performance from Robec Music Group's J MarQ and Stephanie Serna. Then opening for T.I. will be local hip hop artist, Future, and from Houston, Chingo Bling. Outside there is a separate concert starting at 4 p.m. which will include The Valley Kings, C-Styles (and friends), Ferny Phoenix with Miss Mona, Cal Casta with Kris Cash, GMS, Young Stars, Sweetz and Will. There are two more artists who may be added to the line-up to perform on the outside stage, but have yet to be announced.
Amy Nichol Smith covers features and entertainment for The Monitor. She is also opening for T.I., except, not. She can be reached at (956) 683-4420.
