Former Dorados coach named to af2 Hall of Fame

Dorados Reports

HIDALGO The Rio Grande Valley Dorados and arenafootball2 (af2) have announced that former Dorados Head Coach Kevin Guy has been named to the af2 Hall of Fame. Guy coached the Dorados to the National Conference Finals in 2005 before moving on to the Arena Football League (AFL). He also served the Dorados in 2009 in an on-field advisory position.

Guy was named the 2003 af2 Coach of the Year and upon accepting a position with the AFL’s San Jose SaberCats in 2005 led af2 in career coaching victories. He led the Tennessee Valley Vipers to three straight Division titles and reached the postseason in all four seasons as an af2 head coach. After winning the Arena Bowl in 2007 with San Jose as a defensive coordinator, Guy moved on to become the head coach of the Arizona Rattlers (AFL).

The inaugural af2 Hall of Fame class will be honored this Saturday when the league caps off its 10th anniversary season with the 2009 ArenaCup Championship in Las Vegas.
