Engagement: Gerardo-Sanchez

Lolita Gerardo and the late Valentin Gerardo of McAllen announce the upcoming marriage of their daughter, Sharon Hope Gerardo, to David Antonio Sanchez, son of Arturo and Rosa Alaniz of McAllen. The couple will wed at 4:30 p.m. Jan. 10, 2009 at Calvary Baptist Church in McAllen.

The bride-elect is a 2005 graduate of the University of Texas-Pan American with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She is currently a 4th year medical student at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and will graduate in May 2009 with a Medical degree. She will be starting her pediatric residency immediately following her graduation.

The groom-elect is a 2005 graduate of the University of Texas-Pan American with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. He is currently working as a Test Engineer at Lockheed Martin Mission Services in Houston, TX.
