Two bodies found burned in San Isidro
Comments 0 | Recommend 0SAN ISIDRO - Two charred bodies were discovered early Saturday morning in a pick up truck that was completely burned, according to authorities.
The two were apparently engulfed in flames about 5 a.m. this morning near the intersection of La Guajolote and Farm-to-Market Road 2294, San Isidro Fire Chief Barney Benavides said.
Authorities are investigating the incident as a homicide, he said. Blood was found near the scene and the fire appeared to have originated from the truck.
The fire spread a mere 53 acres. Authorities responded to a call about the fire at about 6 a.m.
"There's nothing we could do," Benavides said about the burned men. "The truck was burned completely ... it was on the rims."
Starr County Sherriff's Office is investigating the apparent homicide. Officials with the department were unable to be reached late Saturday night.
