Pedraza Family Reunion

The second annual “Pedraza Family Reunion” was held December 24th & 25th, 2007 in Mercedes at the ranch of Mrs. Lillie Pedraza and the late Mr. Refugio (Cuco) Pedraza Sr.

The family decided to come together at the Pedraza ranch to commemorate and celebrate Refugio (Cuco) Pedraza Sr.’s memory. Family members came as far as Wyoming, Colorado, Indiana, Ohio, Monterrey (Mexico), and various parts of Texas. The reunion hosted different events which consisted of a talent show, crafts, and various games. Everyone had a wonderful experience.

The best part of the reunion was meeting new family members and catching up with those you hadn’t seen in years. All of Mr. & Mrs. Refugio Pedraza’s 13 children and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren were in attendance.

We were all saddened to hear about Mrs. Lillie Pedraza’s accident which left her hospitalized and was not able to attend the reunion and of our cousin’s death due to losing her battle with cancer.

The third annual Pedraza Family Reunion has been set for December 24th & 25th, 2009 at the same location.
