Edinburg receives $10,000 ENCORE grant
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Edinburg CISD Board of Trustees were recently presented with a $10,000 Engaging Communities for College Readiness (ENCORE) grant to implement an “ENCORE Parent College Readiness Forum” Program that will provide Edinburg CISD students and parents with information to help them prepare to be career and college ready. Accepting the ENCORE grant from Dr. Gilbert Maldonado of the University of Texas – Pan American were Omar Palacios, board president; school trustees Carmen Gonzalez, Ciro Trevino, Jaime Chavana, Robert Pena, Jr., David Torres; Dr. Rene Gutierrez, Superintendent of Schools; Griselda Quintanilla, Career Technical Education Coordinator; and Arminda Martinez, CTE College Readiness Supervisor.
