FOR THE RECORD

FALCON DAM | DRUG SEIZURE

Authorities seized about 176 pounds of marijuana Friday at the Falcon Dam-Nuevo Guerrero International Bridge.

The drugs were found inside the gas tank of a northbound 1990 Chevrolet van. The driver, a 22-year-old San Antonio man, was arrested on federal drug charges.

The man is currently in the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement pending an appearance before a federal magistrate. U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers seized the van and the drugs.

The marijuana had an estimated street value of $140,000.
