One of the top selling New Wave of British Heavy Metal bands of the 1980s is set to pay a much-anticipated visit to the Rio Grande Valley.
Def Leppard recently added 16 dates to the third leg of their tour including a performance July 30 at Dodge Arena.
The third leg of the Songs from the Sparkle Lounge tour kicks off in Hidalgo and runs through most of August.

Since March the band has been on tour with Styx and REO Speedwagon and on their second leg, Whitesnake. No word as to what band will join Def Leppard at Dodge Arena.

Joe Elliott and company burst onto the scene in the late 1970s with their now legendary brand of stadium rock. Often shunning the "pop-metal" label and adamantly speaking out against the glam metal movement of the 80s, Def Leppard quickly dominated the rock genre nonetheless.
Notable albums such as Pyromania and Hysteria, which produced the now recognizable hits "Photograph," "Pour Some Sugar on Me" and "Rocket" forever etched the band into rock n roll history books.

Tickets go on sale May 16 at 10 a.m.Tickets are available at all Ticketmaster outlets or at the Dodge Arena box office.
