Wedding: Garza-Davis

Amber Michelle Garza and Jared Michael Davis were united in the sacrament of holy matrimony on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Dallas, TX. Monsignor Donald F. Zimmerman officiated the double ring religious ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Armando Luis Garza Jr. (Sylvia) of McAllen, TX. Maternal grandparents are Roberto & Eva Quintanilla of Alton, Texas. Paternal grandparents are Armando L. Garza, Sr. and Judy Garza of Benavides, TX. The groom is the son of Mr. John Davis and Mrs. Margaret Chapline of Concord, OH. Paternal grandmother is Ms. Donna Davis of Kirtland, OH.

The bride was escorted by her father in a signature Allure ball gown adorned with embroidery and Swarovski crystals. She carried a classic and rounded bouquet for a chic look that included voluminous hydrangea stems, ivory roses, rosettes and dashes of light blue hydrangea for a subtle pop of color.

The best man was Joseph Sternad, long-time friend of the groom.

The maid of honor was Michelle Malcik, long-time friend of the bride.

Groomsmen were Curt Davis, Andy Davis (brothers of the groom), Matthew Garza (brother of the bride), Chris Patterson, and Brian Davis.

Bridesmaids were Lindsey Davis, Ashley James, Katherine Salinas, Sarah Kuehn, and Kendra Garza.

Flower girl was Angelica Eve Hanna.

The wedding reception took place in the heart of the downtown Dallas, Texas Arts District, at the historic Belo Mansion. The mansion was embellished with elegant white floral arrangements designed by Bella Flora of Dallas. Accents of Tiffany blue lit the main ballroom to complement the chosen color of the bridal party. Entertainment was provided by the ever so talented Radu Cernat, “The Violin Guy”.

The bridal cake was designed by Bronwen Weber (best known on the Food Network) of Frosted Art Bakery in Dallas. The cake had four tiers with piping that reflected the embellishment found of the bride’s gown. Additional edible flowers cascaded the cake with tiffany blue ribbon hugging each tier.

The bride graduated from McAllen High School and Texas A&M University in College Station where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Horticulture-Landscape Design. She is currently enrolled in the Master Program for Landscape Architecture at the University of Texas at Arlington.

The groom graduated from Riverside High School (Painesville, OH). He attended Kent State University (Kent, OH) and received a Bachelor of Science degree in advertising. Jared is currently working at Cadent Medical Communications (Irving, TX) as an account supervisor.

The couple will be making their home in the DFW Metroplex.
