Wedding: Zuviri-Cruz

Maria del Sagrario Zuviri Dominguez and Juan Jesus Cruz were united in marriage at 2 p.m. July 12, 2008 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in McAllen. Juan Pablo Robles performed the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Florencio and Sagrario Zuviri of Edinburg. Parents of the groom are Demetrio and Maria Magdalena Cruz of Houston.
The bride wore a white strapless A-ling gown decorated with stunning beadwork that covered the entire bodice, skirt and semi-cathedral length train with silver thread and crystal accents. The gown was designed by Casablanca. The bride's headdress was a crystal adorned tiara accompanied by a white two-tiered cascading veil at waist length with satin trimming.
The bridal bouquet consisted of two dozen cascading Frida Red Roses adorned with baby's breath.
The wedding cake was designed from Sweet and Tasty Bakery. It was a three-tiered cake with a cascade of red roses.
Maids of honor were Flor and Barbara Zuviri, sisters of the bride.
Bridesmaids were Cynthia Esther, Mayra Veronica, Sara Alicia, Ana Itzel and Dustie Barron.
Best man was Demetrio Cruz, Jr.
Groomsmen were Sebastian Barron, Abel Mota, Adam Martinez, Juan Barron, Lawrence Miranda and Mario Ceres.
A reception was held at Wyndham Hotel in McAllen.
After a wedding trip to San Juan Puerto Rico and Vegas, the couple resides in Edinburg.
The bride is a 1999 graduate of Memorial High School and a 2004 graduate of UTPA in which she obtained her Bachelors in Education with a minor in Bilingual Education. She also graduated from Texas Southern University in 2007 with her Masters in Curriculum and Instruction. Maria is currently employed by I.D.E.A. Public School District.
The groom is a 1995 graduate of Alief Elsik High School and graduated from Texas Southern University in 2002 with his Bachelors in Human Performance. He also graduated in 2008 from Texas Southern University with his Masters in Education with a specialty in Human Performance. Juan is currently employed by I.D.E.A. Public School District.
