Sharyland High School Family and Community Service Class Knows Giving is a Work of Art

You Did It

The class of Family and Community Service of Sharyland High School has been helping Chili’s and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital through the Create-A-Pepper to Fight Childhood Cancer campaign. The class created a custom pepper design and helped the cause through individual donations. The donations were taken to the Chili’s of Sharyland Restaurant on Sept 27, 2010. Their donations totaled $55.50, which they presented to Mr. Rob Neagle, Managing Partner of Chili’s.  They joined in the Donate Our Profits Day, which one hundred percent of the day’s profits from the restaurant went to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Class members are Silvana Bada, Danyelle Ballesteros, Catherine Bergh, Cynthia Berlanga, Amanda Canales, Leslie Cantu, Ihinosen Eromosele, Rocio Flores, Jhoana Fonseca, Inarey Fuentes, Clarisa Garcia, Vianney Garcia, Araisa Garza, Kristina Gonzalez, Ana Guajardo, Tasha Kumar, Laura Miller, Angelique Munoz, Karen Perez, Daniela Quijano, Andrea Ramirez, Roberta Ramirez, Maria Ramon, Valeria Rodriguez, Dalila Romero, Daniela Romero, Karla Ruelas, Anissa Salinas, Ashlee Smith, and Andrea Stickle. The Instructor for Family and Community Service class is Mrs. Mary Jane Laing.
