Police spokesman Sgt. John Parrish said the fire and police departments responded to the call about 7:40 a.m.
Authorities at the scene found the body of a man inside the burning house, Parrish said.
The man, whose name has not been released was treated at the scene, but Judge Rolando Muniz pronounced the man dead, according to a press statement.
